ROCKHILL AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERDS

We are a passionate hobby breeder that strives to always improve and preserve the Australian Shepherd breed. We mainly breed for our dog show hobby. We are located in Lebanon, Oregon and live on 5 acres built for our dogs. We breed to ASCA and AKC standards and produce dogs that are capable in all venues: obedience, agility, working, conformation, herding, therapy work, as well as dogs that are great family pets. If you are looking for a lovely pet/dog for your family that loves kids, aussies are an excellent choice. Showing our dogs is our hobby, but does not need to be yours to own an extremely nice puppy from us. What is most important to us is health and temperament. We take great care and research when choosing parents and their pedigrees. Our dogs don’t live in kennel runs or outside, they live in the house with us, but have acres to run on when they are out. These are family members to us.

There are many breeders out there that breed their girl until they are 7 or 9 years old. That is their right and we don’t judge them for that. We just don’t believe in it. We breed ours no later than age 5 and don’t start breeding them until they are 2. We feel there should be more to their life than just having babies.

Our puppies are bomb proof and can thrive in any healthy caring home. We use the Puppy Culture Program, Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) exercises and Pat Hastings “Puppy Development” with our puppies and have found it to make solid temperaments. With our puppies, we provide a 3 year health guarantee and have an open door policy for you to call us for any advice or guidance you may need with your puppy, for the life of your dog.

All our dogs are fully genetically tested and have their hips and elbows OFA'd (Orthopedic Foundation of Animal) certified to avoid dysplasia. Most are championed, some have other jobs like service work, obedience competition, etc.
